LIFE for European forest genetic monitoring system - LIFEGENMON (LIFE)

The main aim of the LIFEGENMON project is to develop a system for forest genetic monitoring (FGM) to serve as an early-warning system to aid in the assessment of a species’ response to environmental change on a long-term temporal scale.

Total budget: 5,484,162.00 €, EU contribution 2,734,952.00 €, Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment 731.155 € (13 %).

Coordinator: Gozdarski inštitut Slovenije. Partners: Zavod za gozdove Slovenije; Zavod Center za informiranje, sodelovanje in razvoj nevladnih organizacij; Bayerisches Amt für forstliche Saat- und Pflanzenzucht; Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; General Directorate of Forests and Agricultural Affairs - Decentralized Administration of Macedonia - Thrace.

Duration: July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2020.
